I know I need to write in this far more than I do, but life's hectic now that my second born is out of school for the summer. It's a zoo here with the three kids.... I wish I had a cage for the two big ones. LOL.

I've noticed that a lot of the people on my friends list are moving or duplicating there journals at the other sites. Right now I've set up an account at GreatestJournal and may set up at InsaneJournal too. I was wondering who else on my friends list has another journal and where it is? I don't want to lose track of all the people I've met here at Livejournal and given the way things are here there may be the possibility that anyone of us will be a victim of the deletion frenzy.

I'm currently reposting the stories I've put here over at greatestjournal. Hopefully the kids will let me write/type without driving me batty or destroying my keyboard. 8-)

I really need to post more stuff in here. For some reason I always forget... The baby's a convient excuse, but she's not the reason why I forget. I've finished the sequel for Serendipity, called Enigma, which Peachy posted at her site since she couldn't get a hold of Kira (http://www.snarryfest.com/Dusk_till_Dawn.htm).

I'm still working on the next chapter of HPRoundRobin's Age is Just a Word as well as Chapter 11 of The Curse. I'm also working on a story called A Second Chance, which too my horror isn't a slash piece. What's the world coming too? LOL. I don't know when I'm going to be posting the prologue to ASC, but it should be soon, most likely when I get a few more chapters written for it.

I've got so many plot bunnies to skin over here. It's insane. I've got outlines done for the Sequel to Holiday Hell and Twentyfour Hour Torture, called A Memento of One Lost. I don't know if I'll have any humor in this story since it was planned long before Holiday Hell had its first word written. Another story I've got sitting before me is a piece called Summer Employment, which is the most fleshed out story outline I've got in front of me. I'm hoping to get started on that as soon as I deal with all the things in front of me. Also brewing in the cauldron in front of me is based on the now defunct Lady Treason's Vanterian Challenge. I've tentively called this story A Rare Specimen and it's well outlined right now. All of these stories are HP/SS like practically everything else I've written to date.

Also slated or partially started are two stories which sorta stray from my usual HP/SS orientation, but not for long. I can't keep the boys separated for long. The first is called Just Right and it's partly written. It was orginially for a Silver Snitch Contest, but didn't make the deadline, mostly because my muse loves to ramble. It's going to start out as a Draco/Harry, but will eventually be a threesome with Severus. See I can't keep Harry and Severus apart for long. The other story starts out as a Draco/Harry, but doesn't last long. It will end up being my usual HP/SS by the middle of the story. This one doesn't have a title just yet. It's really low on my list of story priorities.

I still have a partially written Remus/Severus story and another outlined for what seems like centuries. Will see if I ever manage to get them finished.

Also waiting in the wings are two potential stories for the next wave of Dusk Till Dawn. I think we're at wave 13 for that fest and I'll outline them once I manage to hunt down the artist of the pics I want to use for my stories.

I hope everyone's had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and/or Winter Stolice. Have a happy and safe New Year gang. See you in 2007.

he.... I've been really bad at writing in this journal. It's been a busy few months. Between racing to get my oldest to school because number two's bus is late and having my innards kick by the deamon spawn, I didn't know how I found the time to eat or sleep. Homework was an adventure and typing was out of the question when number three started running out of room, which was very early in the pregnancy.

June was a nightmare. My grandfather passed away after a bought of Alzheimer's complicated by mini strokes and the surprise ailment of advanced emphasema. It was so bad that it didn't show up on the x-rays my cousin took at the hospital. This was the was the hardest thing I had to deal with since the death of my favorite uncle 9 years ago.

July brought about the birth of Vanessa my third daughter. Now I've a set. Victoria my nine year old is ticked because the baby wasn't a boy and Veronica seems to think she's a new play thing. Hard to convince her otherwise since she's got the bare minium of short term memory...just like mommy. Click on the cut to see baby pics, but I'm warning you I haven't a clue how large they're going to show.

Baby Pictures )

I've gotten a lap top so I'll be able to write while hubby's hogging the regular computer. I'm hopefully having broadband installed on Wednesday so hopefully I'll be able to log on when he is too. LOL. Either way I won't be trying to read my own handwriting while transcribing, which I assure you makes my sporadic story updates even more so.

That's all for now.... I'm going to be spending the morning screaming at Veronica's Vice Princepal.... oh what fun.

Hi gang,

It's been a real interesting couple of months for me, but first some nonsense...
I gacked this from [info]dragonbetween

Your Birthdate: April 9

You are a born idealist, with more pet causes than you can count.
You prefer be around others, both when working and while relaxing.
Generous and giving, you believe you can change the world one person at a time.
You're open minded and tolerant. People feel like they can tell you anything.

Your strength: Your go-with-the-flow flexibility

Your weakness: Your flair for the over dramatic

Your power color: Pine green

Your power symbol: Circle

Your power month: September

I don't agree with it at all. I prefer being alone and if I had my way I'd live in a separate house from the kids and hubby.

Now onto the more serious stuff.

My hubby, John, found out in early October that his mother's sister and her husband passed away back in JULY, EARLY JULY and his remaining Aunt didn't bother to call and tell him or his sister that they passed. My SIL seems to think that said living Aunt is extemely pissed at her dearly departed sister. It seems that the Aunt in question left hubby and SIL a heap of money in the form of a custom built house in a prime location in Florida and a shit load of stock. I still have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. We'll be able to buy a house finally despite the insane prices and we won't have to worry about sending the girls to college. Now we're just waiting on the lawyers to finish appraising everything.

Recently I've volunteered to take care of the Slash Advent Calendar for Kira, who's suffering real life problems while contributing several stories for it too. On top of that I had already signed of for NaNoWriMo and I haven't gotten a chance to start. If I'm lucky I'll get it done. My muse when he's around tends to ramble, which will work out in my favor for a change. The last thing this month was the death of my Great Aunt Helen. She's not a blood relative, but she was my grandmother's best friend for over 55 years and I loved her and her husband Vic to death. I named my oldest for her husband who passed 8 years ago and my youngest's middle name is for my GA and Grandmother. I already miss her and its hard not having her around anymore. Worse it reminds me of how little time I have left with my grandparents.

Ta-ta for now.

Hi Gang!

Here's my entry for the delayed Ninth Wave of Dusk Til Dawn. Kira's having all kinds of problems out in her corner of the world. I figured I'd post it here since the Snitch is down until they've finished sorting through everything.

Author: Corgi
Title: To Mend a Heart
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Severus
Feedback: darkcorgi@yahoo.com
Summary: Severus tries to help Harry heal.
Disclaimer: All characters belong to J.K.Rowling. I receive no money for this. I'm just playing because she writes too slowly.
Note: Part of the Dusk Til Dawn Harry Potter/Severus Snape Fuh-Q Fest Wave 9 at www.kardasi.com.
Homepage: www.livejournal.com/users/goldpemcorgi
A/N: This story is a sequel to 'To Heal A Soul' which is archived with the 7th wave stories and at www.hpfandom.net. The story is still pre-slash and deals with drug abuse issues. Also there are HBP Spoilers inside, though they aren't in the same context that J.K. used them.

Hi Gang,

Due to rampaging weather and unexpected emergencies I find myself in desperate need of a beta reader for my Snarry story for Dusk til Dawn. Is there anyone out there available for a really quick beta? The story is PG-13 and AU. I need someone to correct comma usage, verb tenses and any awkward or poor word choices. I've gotten a small extension, but really need to get this in to Kira.

Thanks,

What an odd color... I think I've made some beads in that colour. Have to go and find them if I didn't sell them already. 8-)

You can tell how bored I am... I hate having to wonder if my friends are all right. It's amazing how many people in the Jewelry/bead making and Fanfiction communities live in Louisianna. I'm hoping for the best.

Today's been one of the most Horrible days in my life. I can count two others and those are kinda related to this one. Today I had to take one of my last fur kid to the vet and let her go. My poor Sunshine had a huge tumor, but I didn't know that until I brought her to the vet to be put to sleep. I don't know how my mom did this so many times. I almost couldn't do it, but I let her go. I couldn't bear seeing her so out of it. I hate the fact that my pets can contract cancer and I can't do anything about it.

Farewell Sunny, I'll miss you.

Twenty Four Hour Torture is officially a completed story. I'm sooooo happy to see the back of this one. LOL Off to bed for another day of bead making and writing.

Hello everyone,

I just discovered that I need to write here more. LOL Life isn't allowing me time to do much of anything. We've been having a lot of brown and black outs here in Staten Island, NY. It's been wrecking my writing schedule. I can't type nor write in the dark. GRRR>

Summer Employment was scrapped mostly because it was going to be LOOOONGGGGG and Harry was underage when it starts, which is against the rules for Dusk Til Dawn. Soo instead I submitted three stories that will go live at www.kardasi.com (you must be a member of Kardasi securtity to access the fest stories. Follow the link on Kira's homepage) on June 31st. The first is 'Now and Forever', which answers Firestar038's After Battle Challenge issued at [info]hproundrobin. The second is 'Heat of the Moment' and finally the fourth installment of my 'Cradle' arc called 'Celebrating a New Life'. Previous installments of the 'Cradle' Arc consist of 'Don't Rock the Cradle', 'The Joy of Parenthood', and 'Christmas Presents'. They all can be read HPFandom. And just for [info]magdelena1969 my first three entries for the Slash Advent Calendar will be from this story arc. The fourth will be the sequel to 'What a Malfoy Wants', which has had six or seven titles and I haven't settled for one yet. LOL

I'm currently hashing out the fifth and final chapter of Twenty-four Hour Torture, with a small epilogue following. The sequel to that will be 'A Memento of One Lost'. Also in the works are Stories for the fifth Silver Snitch Contest. I've outlines for four at least one challenge in each of their catagories. LOL the muse is busy.

Unfortunately my muse is also bead crazy and has been sending me bouncing from the computer to my work bench. I haven't had any straight time to write unless I was in the bath tube. LOL

Have fun everyone,
Corgi

WOW. I haven't realized how long it's been since I posted in here. Between bead making, the children and fests it's been well over two months. geez. My bad.

I just uploaded the fourth Chapter of Twenty Four Hour Torture at HP Fandom and The Silver Snitch.

Chapter 5 is progress and after that they'll be a short (I hope, one can never tell with my muse)Epilogue and that will be the end of this tale. After the current Dusk til Dawn and Slash Advent Calendar are over with I'll be working on the third story in the Holiday Hell Arc. The story is titled A Memento of One Lost and unlike the previous two stories they'll be very little humor. Memento was outlined long before [info]_ataraxis_ set fourth the snowglobe and Valentine's challenges at [info]hproundrobin. It just seemed like a good pair of stories to set up SEverus' and Harry's relationship prior to the start of Memento. Keep your finger's crossed. My dusk til dawn entry is looking to be one of my tomes.

Have fun,

Hopefully I'll have the next chapter of Twenty-four Hour Torture up soon. It will be done as soon as I finish the chapter of Age Is Just A Word I'm working on. The previous author threw in a couple of twists that tripped my muse before he went insane.... Thanks alot Amanda.....

Hi everyone,

All my stories for the Slash Advent Calendar are done, but there is a sequel in the works for my Dec 17th entry (which isn't up due to Kira's RL getting in the way). It fills in some of the gaps in 'What A Malfoy Wants' and you can blame [info]magdelena1969 for the bunny that bit me. She said 40 pages wasn't enough and she wanted to know this that and the other thing. So I'm attempting to fill in the gaps. It may go up at the Advent Calendar if I can get it done in time. If not it'll be up here or atHPFandom and The Silver Snitch.

Between working on the last Holiday story, namely when I'm stuck on it, I've been continuing with the last Chapter of Walking in His Shoes for [info]hproundrobin as well as The Curse for here. Of course I've several half started stories that I need to finish... formost among them is 'Twentyfour Hour Torture'. The muse needs to get busy.

I need to finish Christmas shopping. I lucked out finding things for the girls, but the rest of the family is a nightmare. Not my Dad and Brother but the In-laws are difficult. Because of the late date we started shopping everything is out and the SIL doesn't know what she wants. I think this may be the last Christmas we're going to be shopping for the Adults. I'll stick to concentrating on the kids. Maybe the In Laws will provide a niece or nephew for my Viking and me. My brother isn't cooperating, he's still single......

Have fun and Happy Holidays,
Corgi

Hi Gang,

I'm very very busy right now. I've already submitted two of my SAC- Stories. December 1st story is a Harry/Severus called "Christmas Presents" and the second story is for Dec 5 for Heralds of Valdemar and it's Keren/Ylsa Keren/Sherrill called A Midwinter's Walk, this one's rated PG. Nothing more that a touch of snogging.

I'm working on the third story for the SAC - tentatively title "A Gift For Severus" and that's due for Dec 7th then I'll return to writing "What A Malfoy Wants", which will now be submitted for Dec 17 and a currently untitled story with [info]magdelena1969 for Dec 16.

I'll then return to Walking In His Shoes for [info]hproundrobin and The Curse as well as Twenty-Four Hour Torture.

Happy Holidays

I hate computer problems. I needed to order a new harddrive from Dell. Half my sectors are fried on this 20 Gig Hardrive. I'm losing sectors left and right. Hopefully the new one gets here soon.

Let's see. I'm working on the final chapter of "Walking In His Shoes" for [info]hproundrobin and then I'm off to do the Slash Advent Calender stories. I've one planned with [info]magdelena1969 that will be a Draco/Remus. I haven't a clue about the title yet. The first story I'm doing is a Harry/Severus for Dec 1st and its tentatively titled "What a Malfoy Wants". The next one is a Femslash story in the Heralds of Valdemar Universe called "First Midwinters" and is Keren/Ylsa and Keren/Sherill. That one's due either the fourth or fifth. There's two more Harry/Severus pairings which are due on the 7 and 17 th and I haven't a clue what to do with them.

I gakked this from [info]_ataraxis_

I've more Deadlines than I can shake a stick at. Right now due to a case of massive writer's block The Curse will be in limbo for another week. I've gotten to a point were I don't like how the chapter is turning out and I need to step back and do something else. Right now I'm working on Chapter 8 of Age Is Just A Word for [info]hproundrobin and I've just finished a story for Dusk 'til Dawn (www.kardasi.com)called 'The Bet'. After I get Age done I'll be rabidly writing the second story I've planned for DTD and if Life and my muse cooperates I'll manage a sequel to 'Don't Rock The Cradle'. I don't have much hope for that one. Eventually I'll get back to Twenty Four Hour Torture and move on to the third story of the Holiday Hell arc. We'll see.

Hi Everyone,

First off I just want to thank everyone who has read and reviewed 'The Curse' so far. Your input and encouragement is very appreciated. I'm stuck writing my entries for Dusk Til Dawn right now so it may be another day or so before the 7th part of 'The Curse' comes out. Bear with me please. Somewhere between the chapters of this I have to get back to writing 'Twentyfour Hour Torture'.

Most of what's been taking my time is a Harry Potter Roll Playing Game here on livejournal. The community is [info]ootp_journal and I'm playing Remus Lupin. I'm having way too much fun with this and discovered that I work well with the lady who's playing Draco Malfoy, [info]magdelena1969.

The rest of my small amount of free time is involved with mission impossible, namely trying to potty train my speech delayed 4 year old. I'm finally making progress, but it's hard getting her to tell her teachers in Pre-school that she has to go. She doesn't tell me she's got to go. Thankfully she's in a special education preschool so she's not the only one who wasn't ready for the potty... actually I think she's the only one in her class that is using one.

I gacked this from [info]_ataraxis_ today. I found it very amusing.
